Define the reasons and the aims for writing a letter
To change a possible authors certainty level from very certain to having doubts
To come up with an assumption that information and new ideas are dependent on each other, to persuade the author to re-establish the prestige of information.
The original authors aims while writing the text
To show that knowing information in todays world is not going to lead to new ideas. Hes saying that we have to learn to deal with information, develop our thinking skills; when the collecting job can be done by the computers.
Define the language of the letter, and ways how to reach my aims
Its a friendly official letter, so the language is more or less free. Observe the decency rules, and the beginning and the ending of my letter.
Teacher's comments: What about my comment re the argument in the previous version? If you disagree, itd still be interesting to see your reasons.
