DEFINE THE AIMS FOR WRITING THE NEW PARAGRAPH/ARTICLE/RESPOND TO THE TEXT.

  • Formulate the aim using to change
    To change peoples knowledge about authors aims while writing this text from know superficially to know more than briefly

  • Define the aims, reasons of the author (original text) while writing the text
    To define the difference between collecting information and creating new ideas, illustrate the nonsense and underlying problems in a very simple way
  • Compare and motivate my aim (for new paragraph) according to original authors aims
    To make a short post-review on the lecture answering the questions Ive received to make clear those points which werent understood partially or at all; make my refference more subjective, speak about my (authors) ponts of view.

    DEFINE THE TARGET READER OF THE NEW/MODIFIED TEXT.

  • Define features of the target reader which can affect how the new paragraph will be written
    Questions make the answer more subjective than the general points which were in text.
  • Define the values or the point of view of the target reader which should be changed
    Answer questions Ive received
  • Match those values with the formulated aim to change

    FIND SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE AUTHORS LANGUAGE.

  • Define the way, how he/she is referring to reader (which words or phrases he/she uses, what are the relationships in between, style)
  • Find most beloved phrases/words/structures, frequency of long or short sentences/paragraphs

    COMPARE THE ORIGINAL TEXT AND THE NEW PARAGRAPH

  • Define the level of integration (sounds: similar awkward like from other galaxy)
    Think about and find why its so




    Teacher's comments:
    Quite a few things above deal with writing a new paragraph. This particular task is not really about a new paragraph, is it?
    One more thing I wanted to draw your attention to is the context. Dont you think it might be a good idea to include something on the context in which the text is produced and also the medium used?
    Dont you think you might need a section on the HOW part that deal with the author and his peculiarities?
