Vocabulary

I knew for a long time what basement or cellar is and how it's called in English (actual reason why I knew this word was a song by Elliott Smith). But I've never been thinking about how the opposite room is called. Until one English lesson came.

attic noun
/ˈæt.ɪk/
the space or room at the top of a building, under the roof, often used for storing things
I've got boxes of old clothes in the attic.
an attic bedroom at the top of the house
